First Eggs Up Grill® In North Carolina Opens In Fuquay-Varina In The Sexton Commons Shopping Center

Owned And Operated By Brothers Scott And Rob Johnson, The Fuquay-Varina Location Is The Latest Addition To A Growing Family Of Eggs Up Grills In The Carolinas & Georgia

August 15, 2016 // Franchising.com // Fuquay-Varina, N.C. - The popular breakfast and lunch restaurant  franchise Eggs Up Grill® has opened its first location in North Carolina in Fuquay-Varina. The restaurant, which is open every day from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., is located at 1436 Main Street in the Sexton Commons shopping center.

Like all Eggs Up Grills, the North Carolina location serves farm fresh eggs many different ways, and complements them with all the traditional breakfast meats. Other offerings include  homemade corned beef hash, signature omelets and their popular sweet potato pecan waffles. An extensive lunch menu includes juicy Black Angus burgers, tasty wraps and sandwiches, and a variety of delicious soups and salads.

The Fuquay-Varina Eggs Up Grill, like all others, is managed by its owners. The Fuquay-Varina's owner/operators are brothers Scott and Rob Johnson who grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. Scott, who left the IT industry to run the Fuquay-Varina Eggs Up Grill, lives in Garner, North Carolina with his wife and their three boys. Rob is a project manager in the Finance industry, who lives in Holly Springs, North Carolina and works at the Eggs Up Grill on weekends.

“Rob and I always dreamed of opening a restaurant that focused on what we have always known growing up - that the simple joy of a great meal is enhanced when you share it surrounded by the laughter of friends and family,” said Scott Johnson, co-owner/operator of Eggs Up Grill Fuquay-Varina. “My first experience with Eggs Up Grill was in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina with my family. The restaurant felt comfortable and familiar even though I hadn’t been there before. It was cheery and bright, and the food was great. The hours of operation were from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. so the owner and employees could work during the day and still spend time with their families during the evenings. I was hooked after that first visit. Before we left the parking lot, I knew I had found what my brother and I had been looking for.”

Eggs Up Grill franchises are offered by Egg Ventures, Inc., a privately held company headquartered in Pawleys Island, S.C.  The company is headed by Chris P. Skodras who   moved from Rhode Island to open his first Eggs Up Grill in South Carolina in 1997.  In 2006, Skodras began offering franchises. He now heads the franchise operation, along with Wade A. (Skip) Corn, Jr. chief executive officer of Egg Ventures, Inc. Egg Ventures currently has 16 restaurants in the Carolinas and Georgia and more have been announced.

“We're excited to have Scott and Rob join the Eggs Up Grill family,” said Skip Corn, chief executive officer of Egg Ventures, Inc. “ Our franchisees are extremely successful, and interest in Eggs Up Grill franchise opportunities continues to grow.  We offer a business model that's unique. The hours of operation enable owner-operators like Scott and Rob to have a very successful business and still have time to enjoy their families and their lives.”

Egg Ventures intends to expand further into North Carolina and is seeking franchisees for other locations. Franchises have a low start up investment and the consistent menu allows owners/operators to accurately predict their costs and easily train employees.
