Sloan’s Ice Cream Named “Best Ice Cream” in West Palm Beach

Recent Online Poll Declares the South Florida Staple As Best in Class

August 15, 2016 // Franchising.com // PALM BEACH, Fla. – It was a race to the finish in the final moments of the contest — but favorite shop to locals and tourist alike, Sloan’s Ice Cream, won top honors in a recent Palm Beach Post Readers’ Choice poll.

“We’re beyond thrilled to receive this title,” said Sloan Kamenstein, CEO and founder. “Since we launched our first location 17 years ago, our top priority has always been delivering the highest quality of goods to our customers. We’re excited to see that they share the same excitement about Sloan’s as our team does.”

Beating out 10 other contenders by more than 17% of the votes, including Manalapan’s Ice Cream Club and Palm Beach Ice Cream of Tequesta and Jupiter, provided a testament to the hard work that Kamenstein and his team have dedicated to the brand throughout the years.

“Earlier this year we finished in the top seven ice cream shops in the country in a USA Today contest,” added Kamenstein. “That award cemented us as a top shop in the country, however, this local designation is more personal to us. My family and I started the shop in West Palm Beach and we’re looking forward to delivering delicious ice cream and treats for many years to come.”

The Sloan’s Ice Cream brand is a staple in Palm Beach, where it’s headquartered. Its 10 shops - six located in South Florida, two in San Diego, one in Los Angeles and one in Kuwait, respectively - are beloved for the striking combination of over-the-top aesthetics, toys, candies and, of course, innovative ice cream flavors made from the finest ingredients.

About Sloan’s Ice Cream

A true icon of South Florida, Sloan’s is renowned for its award winning luxury ice cream flavors, candies and world-class bakery items. The brand’s signature pink walls and ceilings, along with the plush toy collection lining its walls add to Sloan’s fun, funky experience, which includes magical glass bathroom doors. In 1999, Sloan Kamenstein, a classically trained chef and ice cream connoisseur, created Sloan’s along West Palm Beach, Florida’s famed Clematis Street. Under his guidance, the brand has grown to six locations in Palm Beach County, Florida. In mid-2012, Sloan’s began franchising with qualified operators and investors to strategically grow the brand and share more of its magic with a growing national and international following.
