Lexington Green Hails New Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers

Mellow Mushroom Lexington is owned and operated by Damon Coates and Jason Nase. Asked what inspired them to open this Mellow, they replied, "We have been wanting to open a second Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers location in Lexington for years but could never find the right location in the Fayette Mall or Hamburg Area, until this spot opened up. We wanted to provide a convenient location for our customers on the south side of Lexington. We wanted to stick with a vintage Mellow Mushroom theme, so we decided to go with a sixties London mod theme with vibrant interior colors. There is a lot of eye candy in this restaurant."

Every piece of art as well as every color and every textile was handpicked for this location and injected with the spirit of Carnaby Street. From the larger than life Mod mural to the digital Liquid Art Experience, every visual opportunity created was designed to take guests back to a groovier place in time. Even the hostess stand holds a treasure of true vintage items from the 60s. Anyone can participate in an online tour of the art at Mellow Lexington Green by following the instructions on the plaque located at the front of the store.
