Woodcraft Customers Can Create Shop Accessories to Meet Their Needs with New MICROJIG Product

Woodcraft has added MICROJIG’s new MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp to its line of woodworking tools, accessories and supplies.

PARKERSBURG, W. VA. (PRWEB) August 30, 2016 - A brand-new MICROJIG product that will assist woodworkers and do-it-yourselfers to work more efficiently with their tools is now part of the Woodcraft product line.

“The MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp from MICROJIG will be a very valuable addition to the jig and fixture line at Woodcraft,” Woodcraft product manager Peter Collins said. “The versatility and unique design will allow our customers to create accessories for their tools to make them safer and more efficient.”

MICROJIG, creators of the GRR-RIPPER® 3D Pushblock, introduced the MATCHFIT in June, describing it as their latest breakthrough woodworking product that allows users to quickly and easily attach fences, outfeed tables, cutting guides, and more with just a dovetail groove and MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamps. Designed in the USA, MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamps are manufactured with a forged head compatible with a 1/2"-wide, 14° dovetail groove. The unique shape of the clamp head allows it to be securely inserted into a dovetail slot and slide along the groove to the desired clamping position.

“What sets the MATCHFIT apart from others in this category is the dovetail profile of the fixed leg of the clamp.” Collins said. “By simply routing a dovetail groove in a piece of plywood you can add a hold-down to any fixture. Shop-made accessories like drill press tables, clamping tables, and fence faces are easily attached using the routed groove and MATCHFIT Clamp. Bench-mounting tools is also fast and easy. Because the clamps won’t get in the way, users can be more productive and safe.”

MICROJIG was founded in 1998 by Henry Wang, a woodworking enthusiast in Orlando, Florida, who became frustrated with the time and materials he was wasting trying to keep himself safe in his workshop. His solution – 5000+ engineering hours later – was the GRR-RIPPER 3D Pushblock, which was introduced in 2001 and is also part of the Woodcraft line of power tool accessories.
