Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Introduces New Fall Flavor As Sales Continue To Break Records

Snickerdoodle Added To Premium Line-up For Limited Time

September 12, 2016 // Franchising.com // PITTSBURGH – Bruster’s Real Ice Cream continues to buck this year’s restaurant industry slowdown, as it introduces a new fall flavor and reprises two guest favorites.

New Snickerdoodle blends vanilla ice cream with brown sugary molasses and pinches of cinnamon, salt and buttery goodness. Just launched this month, it is joined by two flavorful fall treats: Caramel Apple Crunch, tasty apple ice cream with caramel and cinnamon vanilla cake crunch, and Warm Apple Dumplings topped with cinnamon ice cream and cinnamon sauce.

Bruster’s vice president of Marketing, Jennie Brinker, attributes the chain’s record-setting sales to a number of factors, with new flavors among them. “Snickerdoodle is a great example of what the Bruster’s experience is all about,” she said. “It’s an indulgent, hand-crafted ice cream packed with big flavor that really is a ‘scoop above the rest.’”

Bruster’s year-to-date comp sales are up more than 8.6 percent. The chain has opened eight shops so far in 2016 with additional ones scheduled to open in Atlanta and Duluth, Georgia; Huntington Beach, California; Gilbert, Arizona and Pittsburgh by year-end.
