CREAM Launches New Cin-ful Churro Ice Cream

Dessert franchise adds churro-themed items to growing menu.

September 23, 2016 // Franchising.com // BERKELEY, Cali. – CREAM, a San Francisco Bay Area-based dessert franchise that specializes in high quality ice cream sandwiches using fresh, oven-baked cookies, is expanding its menu with three new churro-themed items. CREAM will be adding Cin-ful Churro ice cream, a churro milkshake, and a churro topping to the menu. Starting September 26, the churro items will appear on the menu for a limited time at all CREAM locations.

CREAM’s Cin-ful Churro ice cream is a thick and rich churro flavored ice cream with chunks of churro mixed in, a great addition to a growing list of 22 super-premium ice cream flavors. Customers can also order a Cin-ful Churro milkshake garnished with a fresh-baked churro or add a churro topping to any of CREAM’s classic ice cream sandwiches. Baked and rolled in cinnamon sugar throughout the day, fresh and crispy churros will even be available as a tasty treat individually.

“At CREAM, we are constantly thinking of innovative ways to bring classic desserts to our customers in ice cream sandwich form,” said Co-founder and President, Gus Shamieh. “Growing up, churros were always a memorable treat, especially at ballparks and theme parks. We wanted to bring this nostalgic treat back in a creative, fun, and exciting way! Now, churro and ice cream loving fans can enjoy the best of both worlds.”

CREAM, which is an acronym for “Cookies Rule Everything Around Me,” offers a menu of over 22 ice cream flavors and 17 cookie flavors and over 19 toppings that customers can mix and match, including vegan and gluten-free options. While ice cream sandwiches using oven-baked cookies are the main draw, CREAM also has milkshakes, floats, other baked goods like the Do’Sant, and of course, “The CREAM Taco,” a waffle cone shaped like a taco loaded with ice cream and toppings. Since opening its first store in Berkeley in 2010, CREAM has expanded to over 26 locations throughout California, Nevada, and Florida and has 30-40 stores under development.
