Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries Now Open in Kingsland, Georgia

The All-American, Family-Friendly Diner Will Donate 10% of First Three Days Sales to The Miracle League of Camden County

October 17, 2016 // Franchising.com // Kingsland, GA – Known by locals and visitors as The City of Royal Treatment and known by fans of Oprah Winfrey’s reality television series as Love Town, USA, Kingsland, Georgia will get some royal treatment itself and its residents lots of love from the town’s soon-to-be favorite burger joint Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries.

The highly lauded All-American family-friendly diner opened its newest location in Kingsland, GA today. Visitors to the new restaurant, located at 6586 GA Hwy 40 E, in St. Mary's, GA in Camden County, can now experience an inviting dining experience with fresh, never-frozen burgers, premium sliced cheesesteaks piled high on steamed hoagies, and frozen custard made in-house every day. With its open-grill design, the kitchen's dedication and care when hand-crafting meals is front and center.

"We chose our Kingsland, Georgia restaurant because it is minutes from Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Jacksonville International Airport and the Cumberland Island National Seashore. Located just off of the Interstate 95 corridor, Kingsland has a small town community appeal with excellent growth opportunities," said John Greene, Master Franchisee for the state of Georgia. "We know Hwy 55's family-friendly concept and dedication to authentic hospitality will fit right in and we are excited to be here."

With 130 units, including a location in Brunswick Georgia, Hwy 55 is already a household name and the Kingsland restaurant makes an attractive addition to the brand’s rapidly growing statewide-profile. Approximately 50 new Hwy 55 locations are planned for Georgia over the next 10 years.

“We are thrilled to bring the great Hwy 55 brand to Kingsland. I founded Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries 25 years ago to provide something that I felt was missing: great food, friendly service and honest value,” said Hwy 55 president Kenney Moore, who flipped every burger himself for the brand’s first two years of business. “Those principles continue today at all of our restaurants. This vibrant community has a rich family tradition which pairs perfectly with Hwy 55's focus on retro values and an always-fresh take on classics."

In keeping with Hwy 55’s continued mission to give back to the communities it enters, Hwy 55’s Andy’s Charitable Foundation and the local franchise owners will donate 10% of sales from the restaurant’s first three days to The Miracle League of Camden County, whose mission is to provide children with disabilities with an opportunity to experience the joy and benefits that come from playing the American National pastime–baseball. Andy’s Charitable Foundation is Hwy 55’s most visible commitment to community involvement.
