AAMCO Franchise Announces New Owner In Fort Pierce, Florida

Lifetime Car Enthusiast Continues Entrepreneurial Quest with Family

October 21, 2016 // Franchising.com // HORSHAM, Pa. - AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. (“AAMCO”), franchisor of the world’s largest branded chain of transmission specialists and an industry leader in total car care services, today announced its service center in Fort Pierce, Florida, located at 3821 South Highway 1, has a new owner. The Fort Pierce service center features 11 bays and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The new owners, Kurt and Donna Caruso, along with their son Joe Caruso, are closely involved in the local community and are members of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce. While this is the family’s first franchise, Kurt Caruso has always had a passion for cars, and previously owned a used car lot and towing business in Pennsylvania.

“I’ve been working on cars since I was a kid. They’ve always interested me and I enjoy putting them back together,” said Kurt Caruso. “When my son Joe brought the idea of owning an AAMCO to my wife and I, we knew immediately that it would be a good fit. We want the AAMCO of Fort Pierce to be a place where customers can feel at home and confident in our assessments and repair work.”

For more than 50 years, AAMCO’s network of locally owned and independently operated automotive service centers has employed the latest technology. Expert technicians diagnose a repair, fix it right the first time and back it with a nationwide warranty. Known as the world’s leading transmission expert, the company has evolved into a total car care brand that provides a variety of services including brake repair, tune-ups, shocks and struts, routine maintenance and more. AAMCO was named to Entrepreneur’s 2016 Franchise 500®, ranking at the top of the transmission repair category. Based on network size, growth rate and financial strength, the brand also earned a spot on Entrepreneur’s “Best of the Best” list. Additionally, AAMCO has been consecutively ranked on Franchise Times’ Top 200+ for the last two years.

With nearly 650 centers across North America, AAMCO is actively seeking single- and multi-unit operators who are passionate about the brand and committed to providing the highest quality service. Interested candidates should have a minimum net worth of $250,000 and liquid assets of at least $65,000 per unit. Depending on the real estate site selected, franchisees can expect the total investment to be approximately $227,400 – $333,000 with a $39,500 initial franchise fee. Reduced franchise fees are available for honorably discharged veterans.
