Henry County Residents Can Savor the "Better Burger" with a Portion of Opening Proceeds Benefitting A Friend's House

LOCUST GROVE, Ga. - Dec. 12, 2016 // PRNewswire // - Smashburger, the nation's fastest growing "better burger" restaurant, today announced that it will open its fifth Metro Atlanta location in Locust Grove, Ga. on Wednesday, December 14. Smashburger will give away free burgers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and free milkshake coupons from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"We are thrilled to bring Smashburger's fresh, never frozen offerings to Henry County residents," says Smashburger Founder and Chief Executive Officer Tom Ryan. "Smashburger can't wait to debut its first area location in Locust Grove and we look forward to introducing locals to our delicious, smashed-to-order burgers."

Located adjacent to the Verizon Wireless store at the entrance of the Tanger Outlets, Smashburger will provide local residents with "smashed-to-order" burgers, chicken sandwiches, fresh salads, an array of signature sides, and delicious handspun shakes. The company's burgers are made of 100-percent fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef that are smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of real cheeses, the freshest produce and top-quality condiments.

Georgia On My Mind

Robison Peck Group LLC, owned by Eric Robison and Charlie Peck, are responsible for bringing Smashburger to Locust Grove. The group plans to open 15 Smashburger restaurants in the state over the next seven years. Robison and Peck have been friends since college, and bring more than a decade of combined franchise ownership experience to Smashburger.

As a testament to Smashburger's commitment to the community, the company will give 10 percent of its opening day sales to A Friend's House, a local non-profit that provides shelter for children in crisis. Additionally, Smashburger plans to partner with local charities for each of its openings.
