More than 1,100 Stores Participating in “A Very Merry Santa Sale” Promotion; Allows Customers who Donate $5 or More to Enjoy an Extra Discount Dec. 15-24, 2016

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - December 13, 2016 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - The 2016 “Season of Wishes” holiday campaign at Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOS) continues with “A Very Merry Santa Sale”, December 15-24, at its locations nationwide.

Through December 24, customers who donate $5 to Make-A-Wish® will receive a Very Merry Santa Sale pass for an extra discount December 15-24. Participating Sears Hometown, Sears Home Appliance Showroomand Sears Appliance & Hardware customers will receive an extra 10 percent off everything storewide during the redemption period, meanwhile Sears Outlet customers will receive an extra 20 percent off everything storewide.

Since Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. began partnering with Make-A-Wish in 2014 - through the generosity of its customers, vendors and employees - the Company has raised more than $2.5 million, helping grant more than 150 wishes.
