Initially, Shanebrook’s franchising focus for ChillRx is centered on the Mid-Atlantic region, growing out from the business’ northeastern New Jersey headquarters in Westfield, New Jersey. The franchise strategy calls for franchise opportunities with the concept to be awarded to qualified individuals and small teams in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Expected to grow an annual rate of nearly 10 percent*, the cryotherapy industry has proven to attract a loyal and growing foundation of clientele coast to coast. To leverage the lively consumer demand for cryotherapy, ChillRx has captured its own unique space in the sector with a collection of proprietary treatments. The brand’s winning go-to-market strategy has created the momentum that is now propelling it to heights.

Under Shanebrook’s leadership, ChillRx has designed its treatment programs with the guidance of a board-certified physician. Key to this effort is the emergence of ChillRx’s local cryotherapy treatments, which account for 35 percent of revenue – a distinguishing facet of the brand’s franchise model. The vast majority of competitors solely offer whole-body cryotherapy. Plus, ChillRx’s liquid nitrogen delivery system exceeds industry standards, offering a more reliable and cost-effective method than systems typically used in the segment.

Shanebrook conceptualized ChillRx after a physician recommended she try it to relieve debilitating back pain resulting from a herniated disc. Inspired by the incredible outcome of the treatment, Shanebrook developed the ChillRx concept. Working on refining the concept to adapt it for franchising, she has continued to embark upon research into the science and practice of cryotherapy. This commitment to excellence is now reflected in the franchise model.

Sessions at ChillRx include three minutes in the cryosauna, a comforting chamber about eight feet tall by four feet wide. A trained technician who monitors the entire session drops the temperature in the chamber to pre-discussed levels of -235 to -270 degrees. Resembling more of a spa-feel than a stark office setting, ChillRx offers its treatments at an affordable price and in a time-efficient manner.
