The modern seafood shack plans to open 25 restaurants across the United Kingdom over the next 10 years. The agreement also grants the franchisee rights to develop Slapfish in the United Arab Emirates and Ireland, countries for which the franchisee is currently reviewing real estate options.
Known for their mouthwatering menu items such as the lobster roll and chowder fries, Slapfish has seen great success in their current locations. Based out of California, celebrity chef Andrew Gruel founded Slapfish on the idea that fine dining seafood meals could be available in a fast casual setting and still be full of flavor. Chef Gruel originally served Slapfish from a food truck in 2011 and has quickly grown into one of the fastest growing concepts today.
