Children’s haircut franchise breaks into the Idaho area with first location in Meridian

February 22, 2017 // Franchising.com // SALT LAKE CITY – Children’s haircuts can be shear torture for both parents and kids, but the new Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids located at 6500 N. Linder Rd. Ste. 110 opening next week hopes to alleviate some of that stress.

“I’m excited to open the first Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids salon in the state,” said co-owner Katie Smith. “It has always been a dream of mine and my husband Ben to open our own business. And as parents, we’re excited to own a business that provides a stress-free children’s haircut experience.”

Katie and Ben Smith are first-time franchisees and business owners. The husband and wife duo are also parents to four daughters. Familiar with the stress associate with children’s haircuts, they are looking forward to opening a business that alleviates the stress of children’s haircuts. Katie and Ben also plan to open an additional two locations in the area over the next few years.

As one of the first children-only hair salons in the United States, Cookie Cutters offers an interactive haircut experience that both children and parents won’t soon forget. The salons are outfitted with an in-store playground, televisions and gaming systems, and a variety of automotive, aerospace, and other themed chairs. And with a balloon, sucker and a smile at the end of each haircut, the Cookie Cutters experience provides kids with a fun-filled haircut experience.

“What makes Cookie Cutters unique is that it is an extremely family-oriented business. We hope to treat our customers and their children like they are part of our family,” said Katie.

Cookie Cutters of Meridian is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information or to book an appointment, please call (208) 949-9585.

Including a franchise fee of $35,000, the total investment to open a single unit Cookie Cutters salon is $90,500 to $261,000. Franchisees can add a second location for an additional $20,000, three or more locations for an additional $10,000 each.
