Wag N’ Wash Natural Food & Bakery to Open First Seattle Location

March 06, 2017 // Franchising.com // DENVER – With current and aspiring pet parents and pet lovers in mind, Wag N’ Wash Natural Food & Bakery, a full-line specialty pet retail and grooming destination for dogs and cats, will soon open in Seattle in the next couple of weeks.

The new store, located at 1932 Queen Anne Avenue N, will be Wag N’ Wash’s first Seattle location. Company plans call for having as many as 15 stores in the area. Owners Bill Wolfe and Andrew Held have committed to opening two additional locations. The stores will be developed over the next three to five years. Other targeted neighborhoods include West Seattle and Greenwood.

“Seattle is widely regarded as one of the best cities in the U.S. for pet lovers, so we couldn’t be more excited about bringing Wag N’ Wash to the community,” said Wolfe. “Instead of going to multiple shops to buy pet food and grooming service for your furry friend, Wag N’ Wash provides ease and convenience by having it all under one roof.”

Wolfe is a business executive with multiple years of experience building and leading client relationship-centric teams in both technology/software companies as well as hotel organizations from the ground up. Both Wolfe and Held were longtime customers of Wag N’ Wash in Phoenix and Scottsdale. Since moving to Seattle a little over three years ago, they haven’t been able to find a one stop shop for their cat and two dogs.

“We love Queen Anne and we can’t wait to bring Wag N’ Wash to the area. We see Wag N’ Wash as an opportunity not only to connect with our friends and neighbors on a daily basis at the store but also to connect with our local Humane Society and other various rescue associations through joint marketing and adoption events,” added Wolfe.

Advertised as “one cool place,” Wag N’ Wash offers a community for pet enthusiasts to come, find quality goods and services for their pet companions, and simply be pet people. Among the store’s offerings are various brands of all-natural pet foods for dogs and cats, high-end supplements, grooming and washing facilities, and cool toys. In addition, an in-house bakery, rare in the pet store market, offers treats such as Liver Bites, Pumpkin Ravioli, Poochie Sushi and a variety of pies, cakes and muffins using human grade ingredients.

Expert nutritional staff is there to help customers make the best nutritional choices; and all the while, furry friends are mingling throughout the store.

Wag N’ Wash locations also support local dog adoption and rescue organizations, dog and cat health events, and pet safety and wellness events.
