Nominations Pouring in for Prestigious Tutor of the Year Award

Tutor Doctor seeing significant rise in submissions with one week left to vote.

VAN NUYS, Calif. - March 20, 2017 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Just two weeks after the polls opened March 7, Tutor Doctor, the nation’s leading one-to-one in-home private tutoring franchise, has received a record number of submissions for its highly-coveted Tutor of the Year Award and is now ready for even more.

To date, Tutor Doctor has received more than 500 entries, compiled more than 7,000 votes and taken nominations from 11 countries as it aims to narrow the field to only five after the polls close March 24.

The grand prize for the winning tutor will be a two-night stay in Toronto for the company’s annual gala. The winner will be selected by Tutor Doctor on April 14 and announced live on Facebook on at the end of April.

“The number of submissions is a direct reflection of the positive impact our tutors have on their students,” said Frank Milner, President of Tutor Doctor. “We have read through a plethora of heartwarming stories that share how tutors legitimately turn lives around and are looking forward to receiving more.”

Tutor Doctor and its network of franchisees in 17 countries opened up the polls to their students in early March to accept submissions for tutors who have had enormous influences on their students both personally and academically all over the world. The company has said it has already received more than 10 times the expected number of nominations via the submission form on Facebook.
