Oxi Fresh to Bring Green Cleaning to Rhode Island

US Navy Vet and Wife to Open First Location in Rhode Island

March 29, 2017 // Franchising.com // LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning, one of the nation’s greenest and most environmentally friendly carpet cleaning franchises, has opened its first Rhode Island location in Warwick this spring.

“I have always wanted to be part of a company that is environmentally responsible, uses cutting-edge technology and believes that people should get paid a fair living wage,” said Oxi Fresh of Rhode Island owner John Green.

Prior to opening his first franchise, John served 14 years in the United States Navy Submarine service as a Sonar Technician. During his time in the Navy, John met his wife Naomi. While stationed in Groton, CT, John was injured moving a 200 pound piece of gear, which resulted in the acute onset of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome - a condition that constricted John’s nerves and blood flow to his left arm.

After more than two years of trying to treat the injury, John’s time in the Navy came to a close. Shortly after ending his Navy career, John and Naomi participated in a franchise management course at Georgetown University made possible by the United Services Organization. After extensive research on franchise opportunities, John and Naomi were inspired to open an Oxi Fresh franchise.

“Owning my own business has always been a lifelong dream of mine. Naomi and I are excited to join the Oxi Fresh team,” said John.

Founded in 2006, Oxi Fresh has positioned itself at the forefront of the carpet cleaning industry with its environmentally friendly cleaning methods. The company employs safe solutions, energy efficient equipment, and conserves 95% of the water that traditional steam cleaners would waste during cleanings.
