Cottman’s Coloring Book Reaches Boys & Girls Clubs Around The Country

Auto Care and Transmission Repair Brand Donates Proprietary Coloring Books to Boys & Girls Clubs

April 04, 2017 // Franchising.com // HORSHAM, Pa. – Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care has long prided itself on the brand’s impact on the communities it serves, often going above and beyond in the realm of transmission repair and auto care with distinctly honest, transparent customer experiences.

But Cottman’s community involvement goes beyond its services – last fall, Cottman released a coloring book for children starring the Cottman Man, the lovable character who has been in TV commercials, hosted his own blog and appeared in a series of animated online shorts. Cottman previously donated the book to over 40 children’s hospitals across the country over the holidays last year. Now the brand has committed itself to donating these coloring books to Boys & Girls Clubs across America.

Cottman selected more than 40 Boys & Girls Clubs from coast to coast located near existing Cottman centers to donate the coloring books. From there, the Clubs across the country will donate thousands of coloring books to hundreds of nearby Club locations.

“We saw the great work Boys & Girls Clubs are doing in communities around the country and thought the Cottman Man Coloring Book would be another great resource to teach kids about the automotive world,” said Derik Beck vice president of digital marketing. “The Clubs work to teach children different life skills, so we thought this would be the perfect add-on to harness their creativity and pique their interest in a fun way.”

A continued thanks is in order to the team at Advance Auto Parts for partnering with Cottman to have subsidized the costs for the printing of the coloring books. “Advance Auto Parts has been supporting our communities for 85 years and we are happy to continue our partnership with Cottman to print the coloring books for Boys & Girls Club,” said Scott Krinsky, Advance’s Director of Strategic Accounts. “We are happy to see how this program has continued to expand and impact the lives of so many people.”
