ServiceMaster Headquarters Relocation Recognized for Its Community Impact

ServiceMaster Honored by Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - April 10, 2017 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:SERV), a leading provider of residential and commercial services, is this year’s recipient of the Pinnacle Award for Community Impact sponsored by the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR). The announcement was made April 6 at MAAR's 16th Annual Pinnacle Awards gala, where ServiceMaster was recognized for its decision to renovate the former Peabody Place Mall into its new global downtown headquarters.

“We’re excited about the impact our global headquarters will have within our company and in the city," said Rob Gillette, CEO of ServiceMaster. “The move presents all kinds of growth opportunities - from our employee culture, to the local technology and start-up community, and of course the local businesses that we will come to rely on. We are proud to be recognized as a valued member of this vibrant Memphis community.”

In June 2016, ServiceMaster announced it was renovating the former Peabody Place Mall into its new global headquarters, complete with Class A office space and a state-of-the-art innovation center. The company’s new downtown corporate offices will be home to all three of its business segments: American Home Shield, Terminix and its Franchise Services Group, which includes well-known brands AmeriSpec, Furniture Medic, Merry Maids, ServiceMaster Clean, and ServiceMaster Restore.

The four-level, 340,000-square-foot structure is adjacent to the historic Peabody Hotel. ServiceMaster officials expect to open the new innovation center in the second quarter of this year and to complete the move into the new headquarters in early 2018. At the reception, other partners included in the project were recognized for their part, including Belz Enterprises, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Interior Architects and Flintco, LLC.

“It’s our esteemed pleasure to honor ServiceMaster as this year’s Community Impact recipient,” said Terry Radford, MAAR Commercial Council President. “The upcoming headquarters move has already sparked the renovations of several restaurant and retail spaces in the neighborhood, and we are excited to see the positive economic impact its over 1,200 employees will bring to the area.”

The Pinnacle Awards were started in 2002 by a group of MAAR members who wanted to spotlight industry leaders and encourage involvement in MAAR. The Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® is one of the Mid-South’s largest real estate trade associations with 3,000 members working in all facets of the real estate industry.
