Senior Helpers® to Open First Company-Owned Location

Leading Senior Care Provider Acquires Baltimore Franchise to Serve as Flagship Location

BALTIMORE - May 4, 2017 // PRNewswire // - Senior Helpers®, the premier provider of in-home senior care with more than 298 franchised businesses across the globe, today announced it will open its first-ever company-owned location in Baltimore. The global franchisor purchased the new facility near its Timonium, Maryland-based headquarters to serve as a training ground for new franchisees and an important venue for testing new programs and concepts. The location was previously managed by one of company's individual franchisees and remains in the original territory where Senior Helpers began its franchising efforts in early 2006.

"We are excited to announce our first corporate acquisition with the opening of Senior Helpers' inaugural company-owned location in our own backyard," said Peter Ross, CEO and co-founder, Senior Helpers. "Our recent partnership with Altaris Capital Partners, LLC, gives us the opportunity to continue with focused, strategic growth, and we have plans of operating many more company-owned territories in the future."

Founded in 2001 with a vision to help seniors who wish to remain in their homes – despite age-related illnesses and mobility challenges – Senior Helpers serves elderly individuals and their families around the world. Senior Helpers differentiates itself with its proprietary, specialized programs that have been developed in collaboration with leading medical experts. The company was the first provider in the industry to offer specialized care services for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinson's disease.

In late 2016, Senior Helpers was purchased by Altaris Capital Partners, LLC, enabling the organization to bring more in-home care companies under the Senior Helpers umbrella and explore expanding into new territories, including Phoenix, AZ; New Orleans, LA; and Charleston, SC. To date, the company operates 298 franchised businesses across the globe.
