Kansas City Favorite Café To Open In The Villages At Shoal Creek

First Watch Will Open On Monday, June 12

June 09, 2017 // Franchising.com // KANSAS CITY, Missouri - First Watch Restaurants, the award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, today announced it will open another Kansas City restaurant this Monday, June 12. The new 3,300 square-foot First Watch in the Villages at Shoal Creek will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 8758 NE 82nd Terrace and will offer both indoor and outdoor seating. It will be the 12th First Watch restaurant in the Kansas City area and will employ about 25 people.

This First Watch opening also represents the eighth First Watch restaurant opened by prominent franchise group KBP Cafes. The group is a division of Kansas City-based KBP Foods, which owns and operates fast casual concepts throughout the United States.

“First Watch has deep roots in Kansas City, having a home here for nearly 30 years. The people here have shown a kind of loyalty and support to the concept that is so humbling, making the decision to bring First Watch to the Villages at Shoal Creek an easy one,” said John Herrera, vice president of operations for KBP Cafes. “The new restaurant is surrounded by a growing and dynamic community, and we’re excited to bring First Watch’s fresh breakfast, brunch and lunch to our new friends here.”

First Watch’s creative menu takes an elevated approach to traditional and inventive offerings made to order using farm fresh ingredients. It includes items such as Avocado Toast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The new restaurant will offer healthy, flavorful favorites like house-made granola and pico de gallo, organic greens, house-roasted vegetables, cage-free eggs and fresh-squeezed juices as well as more indulgent, traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings.

The new First Watch in Kansas City will offer options from the restaurant’s Fresh Juice Bar, juiced in-house daily using fresh fruits and vegetables sourced locally whenever possible. The restaurant will serve its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee, made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown coffee beans from mountains across North, Central and South America, by the pot.

The restaurant will also open with the restaurant’s latest interior design, which combines farm fresh elements with a high-energy, urban atmosphere.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers customers complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
