sweetFrog Adds Fan Favorite DOLE WHIP® to Expanding Menu of Tasty Frozen Treats

Nation’s Leading Frozen Yogurt Chain Now Offering DOLE WHIP® Floats at All Locations

June 26, 2017 // Franchising.com // Richmond, VA – sweetFrog Frozen Yogurt, the nation’s leading frozen yogurt chain, named America’s Best Frozen Yogurt by The Daily Meal and a Top New Franchise by Entrepreneur Magazine, has recently launched a partnership with the world famous Dole Packaged Foods to showcase DOLE WHIP® as the newest addition to its tasty line-up of frozen dessert treats.

sweetFrog’s CEO, Patrick Galleher, says DOLE WHIP® is a natural addition to sweetFrog’s already popular menu because of its delicious blend of non-dairy soft serve and fruit flavors. Galleher adds that there is also a certain mystique about the dessert (or should we call it “mouse-tique”?) that’s driven by its proven reputation as an amusement park legend.

“People who visit Disneyland and Walt Disney World already know about DOLE WHIP® and they love it,” says Galleher. “It’s developed a real passionate following, because it was only previously available at the amusement parks. Now, that sweetFrog has added DOLE WHIP® at all locations this summer, our loyal customers don’t have to travel to California or Florida to enjoy this outstanding frozen dessert option.”

DOLE WHIP® was developed by Dole in 1986 as a pineapple flavored, frozen soft serve dessert in a cup. Some people took it a step further, adding DOLE Pineapple juice, to make a DOLE WHIP® Float. At sweetFrog stores, the DOLE WHIP® comes in 6 delicious flavors, including the original pineapple, plus orange, strawberry, raspberry, mango, and lemon.

sweetFrog’s Director of Product Development, Phil Hipsky, says the nation’s leading frozen yogurt chain added DOLE WHIP® as a response to consistent customer demand for more non-dairy options on sweetFrog menus.

“Our sweetFrog guests told us they wanted more when it came to non-dairy choices on our menu,” says Hipsky. “That’s why adding DOLE WHIP® to the menu makes so much sense: it’s non-dairy and all the flavors are vegan. It’s also fat, cholesterol, gluten, and lactose free, so it’s a perfect dessert that anyone can enjoy regardless of any potential dietary restrictions.

“Additionally, sweetFrog and Dole are two names synonymous with goodness, quality, value, and trust. This partnership reinforces those attributes, as well as underscoring our continuing efforts to ensure all sweetFrog locations deliver upon the high standards, great flavors and wide variety of options our guests expect and deserve!”
