Promotion Partners Up With Kids In Need Foundation®

July 20, 2017 // // COLUMBUS, OHIO - Sunny Street Cafe® first opened their doors back in 2007 and has been serving excellent breakfast and lunch ever since. Based out of Columbus, OH the breakfast restaurant franchise has now grown to 18 restaurants in Ohio, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Alabama, and St Albert, Alberta. To celebrate a whole decade of flipping pancakes Sunny Street Cafe® is throwing a party, “10 Years and Still Crackin’,” from July 22nd to the 31st.

“The celebration is all things ten- 10 days of fun,” says Mike Stasko Jr, Vice President of Brand Strategy. “We really wanted to say thank you to our community in a big way. We couldn’t have kept going without our guests behind us. This celebration is not only a chance for us to have fun but a chance to give back as well.”

The festivities will include a prize wheel at each restaurant, where guests could win $10 bounce back cards, Sunny Street swag including sunglasses and pens, free coffee coupons, and more. For the children there will be fun temporary tattoos. Guests can also enter for their chance to win the Grand Prize, free breakfast for a year. A winner will be chosen from each participating restaurant. To enter guests must fill out the form at: .

Alongside great food and fun has always come community service for Sunny Street Cafe®. They will be raising funds for the Kids In Need Foundation during the celebration.

“We have always put a high priority in giving back to those we serve,” says Stasko. “Kids In Need Foundation really aligns with our values of family, community, and generosity. They are a fantastic charity and we are proud to be working with them.”

The Kids In Need Foundation, a national 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 1995, has distributed nearly $900 million in school supplies, directly benefiting 5.4 million students and nearly 200,000 teachers annually. The Kids In Need Foundation’s mission is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies nationally to students most in need. This includes a national network of 40 Resource Centers where teachers from low-income schools can go to obtain free school supplies for their students. Communities not served by Resource Centers, funded by sponsors from across the country, are accommodated through the School Ready Supplies program, where the Foundation delivers the necessary supplies to succeed, directly to schools with the greatest need. Students who have gone through natural disasters are helped to return to normal routines with new backpacks and supplies through the Second Responder® program. Sunny Street Cafe® will be raising funds for the School Ready Supplies backpack program. During the 10 Year CelebrationSunny Street Cafe® will be featuring a throwback menu item from their original menu. The Black and Bleu Wrap is a Black Angus Burger, blackened and sliced, then wrapped up with bleu cheese crumbles, sauteed red onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. 10% of the proceeds of the featured item will be donated to the Foundation. The Cafe  will also be collecting donations at the counter.
