Ruby Tuesday to Make Charitable Donations for Every Lemonade Sold on National Lemonade Day

Donations to Help Fight Childhood Hunger

MARYVILLE, Tenn. - July 31, 2017 // GLOBE NEWSWIRE // - Ruby Tuesday, Inc. announced it will offer its handcrafted non-alcoholic lemonades, made with real fruit, at half-price for National Lemonade Day on Sunday, August 20. For each lemonade purchase, the Company will donate the value of a meal provided by No Kid Hungry®, a national organization working to end childhood hunger.* The restaurant presents a great opportunity for families and the community to join together and enjoy refreshing lemonades while helping children in need.

From July 31 to August 27, 2017, the Company will also accept donations as continued support for No Kid Hungry®. Guests will have the option to donate the amount of their choice at checkout. Last year, through its National Lemonade Day efforts, Ruby Tuesday was able to contribute enough for over 500,000 meals for the charity and is excited to do even better this year.

Every dollar donated to No Kid Hungry can help feed a child 10 meals. Its sustainable solution to hunger connects kids to existing nutrition programs like the national school breakfast program and the summer meals program.

The lemonades are handcrafted and made-to-order with real fruit and juices. Guest can choose from delicious flavors such as peach, wild berry, mango, raspberry or strawberry. In addition to non-alcoholic lemonades, Ruby Tuesday will offer spiked versions of the flavored lemonades made with award-winning Tito’s Handmade Vodka. These cocktails will only be available for a limited time from July 31 through August 27, 2017.

Ruby Tuesday encourages guests to take a break from the summer heat to enjoy refreshing lemonades with friends and family while contributing to a great cause. The Company also offers a Kids Eat Free program every Tuesday night from 5 p.m. to close, where guests can enjoy a FREE kid’s meal with adult entrée purchase. *Donation Terms: Ruby Tuesday will contribute 10 cents($0.10) to Share our Strength, Inc. (d/b/a No Kid Hungry) for each lemonade purchased at participating locations on 8/20/17. Share our Strength provides meals to children at a cost of 10 cents each. Learn more at NoKidHungry.org/onedollar.
