SNELLVILLE, Ga. - Aug. 8, 2017 // PRNewswire // - Tropical Smoothie Café's fast-casual concept demonstrates its success in the food service industry as it continues its rapid growth into Snellville. Residents looking for a taste of the tropics will be in for a treat on Sat., Aug. 19 as the new Tropical Smoothie Café (TSC), located at 1630 Scenic Highway North, Suite F, will hold a Grand Opening Celebration starting at 7:00 a.m.

The newest location is owned by franchisee Michael Shattuck, previous president of FOCUS Brands International, a leading developer of global food service brands. With over 40 years of experience, Shattuck joined the brand just one year ago and is recognized as one of TSC's newest multi-unit operators. The franchisee is underway to open a total of six locations throughout Gwinnett County.

"I am a strong proponent of the franchise business model and believe in the power of a group of driven individuals focused on the development of a brand," said Shattuck. "Tropical Smoothie has a great product, strong positioning and a value system I believe in."

As a resident of Atlanta, Shattuck takes pride in contributing to his community and partners with two local organizations - Youth Subsidized Work Experience Program and Briggs & Associates - to help provide employment to individuals seeking new jobs.
