September 06, 2017 // Franchising.com // NASHVILLE, Tenn. - September is No Kid Hungry Dine Out month. That means guests can receive deals and free food at 11,000 restaurants throughout America, including Back Yard Burgers, if you donate to No Kid Hungry.
Beginning on September 1 and ending on September 30, guests who visit any participating Back Yard Burgers and make a $5 donation to No Kid Hungry will receive a coupon book valued at $20. The coupon book features special food deals and offers are valid at all participating Back Yard Burgers locations.
The September No Kid Hungry Dine Out campaign is organized by non-profit Share Our Strength, whose goal is to eliminate childhood hunger in the U.S. Back Yard Burgers has been longtime supporters of No Kid Hungry and in the past year has already raised more than $170,000 or 1.7 million meals for the organization since 2014.
This year, Back Yard Burgers kicked off the No Kid Hungry September Dine Out campaign early! The No Kid Hungry bus tour stopped at the restaurant in Franklin, Tenn., on Monday, August 28, where Back Yard Burgers grilled free Classic Burgers for guests who made a donation. Back Yard Burgers raised enough to provide kids across America access to nearly 6,000 meals during the two-hour event.

Recently, Back Yard Burgers was acquired by Charlotte-based private equity firm Axum Capital Partners. The new holding company is now called Tatum Holdings, LLC and is focused on remodeling existing Back Yard Burgers locations, investing in technology, and growing the brand.
