Urban Bricks Pizza Welcomes Houston Community for Free Meal Saturday, Sept. 16

Fast-Casual Neapolitan Pizza Restaurant Offers Houston a Place to Relax in Light of Harvey

HOUSTON - Sept. 13, 2017 // PRNewswire // - As Houston residents recover from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, Urban Bricks Pizza, a fast-casual franchise serving next generation, quick Artisan pizza and salad, will welcome Houston and surrounding communities to its Richmond location for a free meal Saturday, Sept. 16. Everyone from local residents, families, first responders and clean-up crews are invited to relax and de-stress from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey while enjoying a free, warm meal.

Located at 5650 West Grand Parkway South in The Shops at Bella Terra, Urban Bricks Pizza in Richmond will serve free pizza to all guests starting at 11 a.m. while supplies last. Customers can choose from the eight Foundation Menu pizzas designed by World Pizza Champion Michele D'Amelio, which include favorites like the Margherita, Buffalo Chicken, White Mushroom, Mediterranean and Urban Classic. All other food items, including build-your-own salads, wings and premium Italian gelato, will be served at a 50 percent discount, and alcohol will be served at full price.

"My husband and I have received so much support from this community since we opened our doors. We felt like this was our chance to offer some measure of support to all those that have been affected by the devastation and chaos from the storm. Anyone in the area is invited to Urban Bricks Pizza to unwind for as long as they'd like," said Nicte Lewis, co-owner of the Urban Bricks Pizza locations in Richmond and College Station. "We understand that a fresh, warm meal and a change of scenery can go a long way, so we're gathering supplies to feed as many people as we can."

Employees from Urban Bricks Pizza in College Station are stepping up to support the Richmond location and will travel to help out on Sept. 16. This effort comes just weeks after Hurricane Harvey's initial landfall when Lewis and her husband, Jason, gave away 500 pizzas to first responders in Houston and Urban Bricks Pizza gave roughly 700 free pizzas to local residents and first responders in the Corpus Christi community.

Urban Bricks Pizza serves authentic, customizable Neapolitan pizza with an all-American attitude. Each pizza starts with fresh, never frozen dough made in-house every morning, and uses flour and tomatoes imported from Italy. Customers can choose from more than 30 ingredients that are prepared fresh each morning to top their pizza.
