Greenberry’s Coffee Co. invites you to celebrate their 25th anniversary in the Specialty Coffee industry since opening its doors to their flagship location on Barracks Road in 1992.

September 15, 2017 // Franchising.com // Greenberry’s Coffee Co. welcomes the public to join them in celebration between 10:00-14:00 on Friday to enjoy specialty coffees brewed to perfection, freshly baked pastries, breakfast & lunch options to sample and gifts!

In honor of 25 years, we would like to thank the community for all their support and for choosing us as their coffee spot. As a form of gratitude, we invite everyone to stop by for complimentary treats, meet the team as well as some of our partners at Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, HOT 101.9 and I Love C-Ville! For those who cannot make it for the special event, we invite you to stop by either Friday, September 15 or Saturday, September 16th from 8am-2pm and grab a cup of coffee on us!

Further information about one of Charlottesville’s wonderful non-profit’s, Habitat for Humanity will also be shared and donations, appreciated.

From 1992 to Present Day, Did You Know?

The husband and wife duo behind Greenberry’s CoffeeCo., Sean and Roxanne Simmons knew they wanted to bring a higher quality of coffee to the public. After years in the corporate world, they decided to learn the heart and soul of coffee from Alfred Peet, the pioneer who first brought high-end coffee to America in the 1960s. From that knowledge grew Greenberry’s Coffee Co., named after Sean’s ancestor who exhibited the same dedication to hard work and quality that they wanted to bring to the coffee world and opening their flagship store on Barracks Rd. in 1992.

Twenty-five years later, Greenberry’s Coffee Co. has developed into more than just a single coffee shop. While still maintaining that home away from home feeling within each store, Greenberry’s Coffee Co. has continued to grow with the trends and with the support of the growth in appreciation and knowledge of Specialty Coffee, so did the demand for Greenberry’s. Sean & Roxanne then started franchising Greenberry’s Coffee Co. and partnering with like-minded people who share their same passion for coffee, quality and customer service.

Greenberry’s Coffee Co. is now well established along the East Coast with more store openings scheduled in early 2018 in MD, VA and on the West Coast.

Internationally, Greenberry’s will be welcoming three more coffee shops by December 2017 in Japan and two more stores in Saudi Arabia.

Further growth includes expansion into the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Eqypt and South Korea, to list a few.

Most importantly, that what has not changed throughout the years is their ongoing dedication and love of supplying the community with the best cup of coffee. Since day one, they insisted on roasting themselves so they could control all aspects of quality - from green bean sourcing, to roasting and serving to their customers. Several locations and stores later, both national and international, this care and attention to detail has not changed. Each batch is hand roasted in our warehouse located in Charlottesville, VA to ensure that quality is kept at its highest and consistency retained across the globe.
