First Watch To Match Disaster Relief Donations, Up To $50,000

The Restaurant Company Partnered With The American Red Cross

September 19, 2017 // Franchising.com // SARASOTA, Florida - First Watch Restaurants, the Sarasota-based breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, announced it has partnered with the American Red Cross to raise money for disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Irma. The restaurant company will match all customer and employee donations made through the First Watch portal at redcross.org, up to a total of $50,000.

The money raised from this new partnership between First Watch and the American Red Cross will help address immediate needs of Floridians as they work to recover from a vast natural disaster, as well as long-term relief efforts.

“First Watch has had a home in Florida for more than 30 years, and we are all too familiar with the devastation that hurricanes can cause our friends and family on the Gulf Coast and beyond,” said Chris Tomasso, president of First Watch. “It’s a great honor to support so many other selfless people and organizations that are dedicating themselves to helping rebuild.”

More than 75 of the company’s 306 restaurants were affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, including 17 in the Houston area and more than 60 in Florida. First Watch continues to rebuild and work toward complete recovery after the storms.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers customers complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
