Shreveport grand opening commences with free bread for a year giveaway

SHREVEPORT, La. - Oct. 10, 2017 // PRNewswire // - La Madeleine, the French bakery-café beloved by guests for more than 30 years for its authentic traditions and approachable cuisine, opens a location in Shreveport at 6871 Fern Avenue on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Grand opening celebrations begin at 6:30 a.m. on the 17th, when la Madeleine will break bread with the Shreveport community. The first 100 guests in line will be welcomed in true French style with complimentary coffee, a freshly-baked baguette and the ultimate treat, free bread for a year.

Operated by franchise owner Rodney Shaver of NWLA Restaurant Group, the bakery-café will offer French favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Anchoring the la Madeleine menu are the brand's most cherished recipes - Tomato Basil Soupe, Caesar Salade and Strawberries Romanoff, but new guests will find it easy to explore the menu balanced with lighter recipes and more indulgent French classics. And of course, a trip to la Madeleine isn't complete without a treat from the bakery, like a beautiful Fresh Fruit Tart or a simple All-Butter Croissant.

"With the opening of la Madeleine in Shreveport, we are sharing our love of French food and hospitality with the community, and we hope to become a favorite spot for our neighbors to enjoy fantastic food with friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere," said Shaver.

The 5,167-square-foot café features a 781-square-foot patio and is open Sunday-Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The new café brings approximately 70 jobs to Shreveport.
