Boardwalk Soon to Open in Forestville, MD

October 30, 2017 // Franchising.com // Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries Inc. has recently signed on a new franchisee who will be opening a location in Forestville, MD.

Boardwalk’s home office is in Columbia, MD and has since 1981, with its original concept Boardwalk Fries, became a household word when referring to french fries. Since its inception, Boardwalk has expanded its concept to include a varied menu and now operates its unit under the tradename Boardwalk Fries Burgers Shakes.

Dave DiFerdinando, president of Boardwalk Fries Burgers Shakes, has commented that the newest franchisee who has signed on for the Forestville location, has additional plans for continued expansion in Maryland and Virginia.

The Forestville location is close to and services, in its demographic area, Andrews Airforce Base as well as surrounding development.

Mr. Zakir Chowdhury, who was previously a Boardwalk franchisee, brings not only his past Boardwalk experience, but also his restaurant experience as an America’s Best Wings chain owner. Zakir has indicated that he enjoyed his experience previously with the Boardwalk brand and believes it is a good addition in the Forestville market. He will be continuing this expansion of the brand in the surrounding DC beltway area, bringing not only the well-known Boardwalk menu, but adding fried chicken to the line-up.
