Smiling Moose Rocky Mountain Deli Seeks Multi-Unit Franchisees At The Restaurant Finance & Development Conference
November 13, 2017 // Franchising.com // Smiling Moose Rocky Mountain Deli, a fresh, fast casual franchise known for their unique take on the New York originated ‘chopped cheese’ sandwich, announced that they are seeking experienced restaurateurs at the Restaurant Finance & Development Conference, which will be held at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas from November 13th -15th, 2017. After first opening their doors in 2003, Smiling Moose Rocky Mountain Deli has grown to 15 locations in seven states, serving the fresh quality and flavor of a New York Style Deli with a happy smile.
Smiling Moose recently announced the launch of its global franchise program and is recruiting qualified and experienced multi-unit operators to help grow the brand to over 100 locations in the next five years across the U.S. and in targeted international markets. The brand recently opened its 15th location in Grand Forks, ND and has announced plans to open another restaurant in Denver before year end. After discussions with the executive team of Smiling Moose, it is clear that the brand is poised for imminent success following the major seven-figure capital injection from parent company Rightway Brands, Inc. and Rich Eisenberg, one of Franchise Times 2016 Dealmakers Winners.
“This is an extremely exciting time for Smiling Moose as we begin efforts to significantly expand both our corporate and franchise growth,” stated Rich Eisenberg, Smiling Moose CEO. “We are actively looking for restaurant operators with multi-unit franchise experience who are looking for an up and coming, innovative concept to add to their brand portfolio.”
During the Restaurant Finance & Development Conference, Smiling Moose executives will be available to discuss franchise opportunities with potential partners interested in joining the brand. Smiling Moose is currently looking to expand their footprint in the U.S. and in several international markets, including Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East, Mexico, Canada and Australia. Smiling Moose is primed for an excellent ROI with an estimated initial investment range of $315,300 - $685,000 for the first location, including a franchise fee of $35,000 and an average sales range of $983,507 (sales range based on Smiling Moose’s top 25% of restaurants open over 12 months as of the end of 2016, as referenced in Item 19 of the 2017 FDD). The Moose is seeking well-capitalized and experienced partners who are entrepreneurial and have strong knowledge of their market. The ideal candidate is a proven multi-unit operator in the franchise restaurant industry.
“I am looking forward to attending the Restaurant Finance & Development Conference and having the opportunity to meet with prospective, experienced franchisees that are ready to invest in and help grow our unique brand,” says John Brown, Vice President of Development for Smiling Moose. “I’ve had the privilege of opening several hundred franchised restaurants around the globe yet I have never been as excited about a concept as I am about the Moose.”
