November 14, 2017 // Franchising.com // SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Garnett Station Partners (GSP) has signed a long-term agreement to own and operate 70 Massage Envy franchise locations.
This agreement is part of Massage Envy’s ongoing goal to optimize its franchise network, enhance and strengthen its national footprint to help sustain and accelerate the brand’s 15-year history of consistent growth.
A key component of that strategy is working with investors, like GSP, that have a long history in multi-unit franchise businesses with a focus on investing in and growing successful brands.
Over the next five years, GSP will purchase existing franchised locations and look to build new locations in the Arizona, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Austin and San Antonio markets. As part of the Massage Envy store refresh program, another component of the brand’s network optimization effort, GSP will remodel the existing franchised locations that they purchase.
“This new relationship with Garnett Station Partners aligns with our strategy for growth and our strategy to optimize the Massage Envy franchise network,” said Joe Magnacca, Massage Envy CEO. “They have a long track record of success in multi-unit franchising and they’re focused on delivering value and growth. Starting with their outstanding management team, they will help elevate this brand through their investment in people and their proven commitment to building strong culture and providing strong operational support.”
Massage Envy will be the fourth franchise brand in GSP’s growing portfolio, which includes Burger King, Maaco and Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen.
“Our strategy is focused on investing in leading franchise brands and high-growth platforms, like Massage Envy,” said Matt Perelman, co-founder and co-managing partner of Garnett Station Partners. “We see plenty of opportunity for market expansion and believe there’s real upside potential in Massage Envy’s focus on the customer experience and its expansion into new categories like assisted stretching and advanced skincare.”
Across the country, Massage Envy has targeted 400 trade areas for expansion. For inquiries, please contract Tim Weiderhoft at 480.348.8122.
