Canada’s Spray-Net Launches U.S. Expansion Initiative
November 22, 2017 // Franchising.com // QUEBEC CITY - According to the Remodeling Futures Program at the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, the level for annual spending for home remodeling and repairs is expected to reach nearly $325 billion nationally by early 2018. To that end, Spray-Net, Canada’s fastest-growing home-improvement and remodeling franchise, has set its sights on U.S. expansion.
With 45 operating territories in nine of Canada’s 10 Provinces, Spray-Net is now turning its attention to dominating the U.S. marketplace, initially targeting New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio for growth.
“We’ve seen great success throughout Canada and as we continue to expand our brand we look forward to bringing our first-class services to homeowners everywhere,” said Carmelo Marsala, Founder and CEO of Spray-Net, Inc. “As we plan our next growth phase, we look forward to beginning our search for enthusiastic franchise partners to lead Spray-Net into other major markets in Canada in addition to ramping up our expansion south of the border.”
While studying finance and marketing at Concordia University, Marsala started Spray-Net after running his own student painting franchise and experiencing first-hand the limitations of commercial latex paint and the traditional brush and roller application. He saw there was a void to be filled in the exterior painting industry and he jumped at the opportunity. His goal was to save homeowners the cost of replacing their siding, doors and windows by giving them a like-new factory finish with custom paints & coatings.
Today, Spray-Net specializes in spray-applied paint on siding, doors, windows, stucco and brick, offering a cost-effective transformation and renewal of any home in just one day. The company applies its proprietary line of industrial-strength, patent-pending weather-adjustable formulations using specialized spraying equipment.
Another key to Spray-Net’s success is its exclusive Centrally-Operated Call Center, which answers calls and schedules appointments for all of the company’s franchisees. In addition to this call center, Spray-Net also provides in-house marketing for all of their franchise partners. This allows franchisees to provide top-tier services by solely concentrating on the operations of their business.
“We transform your renovation into an investment,” said Marsala. “We give our customers a service whose cost is immediately outweighed by the increase in curb appeal and property value. We give them the next generation of exterior painting.”
To augment the company’s U.S. expansion, Marsala is looking for franchise partners who are much like himself, motivated and driven. The investment for a Spray-Net franchise ranges between $148,250 and $244,850 for one territory. This includes the franchise fee, accounting and legal fees, initial training and travel, equipment, locally-tailored marketing campaign, marketing materials and uniforms and residual cash flow.
“Every year, homeowners invest billions of dollars to update the look of their homes,” noted Marsala. “There are a lot of exterior painting companies out there, and each one claims that they are best, but none of them have revolutionized the business the way we have. By using science and technology to innovate smarter, quicker and more affordable formulas, we give homeowners the value and convenience they’re looking for.”
