Executive Care Set to Open First Louisville Office

Home health care company serves seniors, disabled and recovering individuals.

December 29, 2017 // Franchising.com // HACKENSACK, N.J. - With an aging population that requires help with daily activities or with managing health, in-home care has become a popular solution. Looking to help manage the rising demand for such services, Executive Care, one of the nation’s leading providers of skilled home health care, is set to open its first Louisville office.

Slated to open January 8, the new business will be located at 11603 Shelbyville Rd. in Louisville and will service Jefferson and surrounding counties. It is the first office Brian Carl, Director of Operations, expects to open and operate.

“I’ve always had a heart for seniors and those with a disability, which helped lead me to realize that caring for others is my passion. I am thrilled to partner with Executive Home Care, whose proven business model and understanding of the critical role home care is playing in the lives of millions of American has led it to become a leading home care provider,” said Brian Carl. “I truly believe in Executive Care’s mission, and I have faith that the business will bring an improved and personal level of care to the area, providing comfort and peace of mind for local families and loved ones.”

Prior to teaming up with Executive Care, Carl, a Louisville native, spent nearly 20 years in various supply chain management roles at global manufacturing and pharmaceutical distribution companies. As a child, Carl lost his father to illness, and as an adult, he saw the impact home care had on families. Wanting to do something different, Carl saw the rising need in the community for home care services and knew that opening an Executive Care office was his next step.

Founded in 2004, Executive Care offers a variety of caregiving and skilled services to help families often overwhelmed with the responsibility of providing care to a loved one - all while ensuring the patient remains in the comfort of his or her own home. Services range from companionship and help with meal preparation and household chores to help with bathing, personal hygiene and personal care. Executive Care also serves individuals recovering from illness, injury or surgery.

To guarantee the highest quality, Executive Care requires all prospective caregivers to undergo an intensive pre-employment screening process, including a criminal background investigation, verification of references and an employment history check. All caregivers are insured, experienced and undergo skills tests and continuing education training. Care Coordinators closely supervise and monitor all staff, conducting periodic evaluation assessments.

“As Executive Care continues to increase our footprint from coast to coast, we are excited to enter the Louisville market and continue providing an alternative to a nursing home or other type of senior care facility,” said Todd Leonard, Vice President of Operations and Development at Executive Care. “We are pleased with the rapid growth we are experiencing, and look forward to new opportunities to assist our communities nationwide.”

To further augment the company’s growth, Leonard estimates there will be two offices open in the Louisville market within the next 24 months, and is seeking franchise partners who have a passion for health and helping others to open the second office.

Including a franchise fee (for a territory with a population of 500,000 residents) of $44,900, initial investment to own and operate an Executive Care office ranges between $99,650 and $169,900. The franchise fee for a second territory is reduced to $35,900 and $29,500 for a third territory.
