British Swim School Prepares To Make Big Splash In Franklin
Water Safety and Survival School Welcomes New Tennessee Location
January 22, 2018 // Franchising.com // Franklin, Tenn. - British Swim School, best known for its education of water safety as an essential survival skill amongst a fun and gentle environment, continues its expansion with a new pool location in the city of Franklin, TN. The southern addition officially opens to the public on Saturday, January 20th, and is being celebrated through a ribbon cutting at 10:00 am with the honorable Williamson County mayor, Rogers Anderson, along with prize drawings and a Splash-a-Palooza event. This location marks the first British Swim School franchise in the Tennessee market.
The location will be run by franchisee Bill Dumez, who immersed himself into the British Swim School franchise system after 30 years in a corporate career, in order to pursue a venture of his own and the opportunity to positively impact the local community. In addition, after dedicating years of his life to water-oriented pursuits including competitive swimming, swim instructing, life-guarding and more, Bill Dumez found British Swim School a natural fit.
“Coming from a background in swimming and water safety - along with a passion for the Middle Tennessee community where I've lived for the last 18 years - I'm very much looking forward to introducing the British Swim School name to the region,” said Bill Dumez, British Swim School franchisee. “Our aim is to promote water safety as an essential life skill in a fun and approachable way, while also partnering with local organizations to help spread British Swim School's ultimate mission.”
British Swim School offers a two-step curriculum teaching children and adults of all ages, some as young as three months, water safety and survival skills, along with swimming skill development. While parental supervision is always the number one safety measure, research shows that participation in formal swim programs, such as those offered by British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.
The British Swim School franchise concept operates a unique water safety program with teaching methods that serve as a trademark for the brand. The company offers lessons out of multiple national fitness chains and hotel pools year-round, based on the premise that children progress at different rates. Each child, regardless of age, is placed in their correct skill level and will have certain achievable objectives. British Swim School operates in nearly 200 schools in 20 states within the U.S., and holds nearly 12,000 lessons per week nationally, and conducted nearly 600,000 swimming lessons in 2017.
The newly opened British Swim School Franklin is located within the Southwind Apartment Homes, at 549 Southwinds Drive, Franklin, TN 37064. For more information about the British Swim School in Franklin, call 615-212-2010 or visit https://britishswimschool.com/williamson-smyrna/.
