Carl's Jr. Opens First-Ever Manhattan Restaurant in Distinctly "New York" Fashion With Dinner and a Show

Brand Debuting its Very Own Limited-run, Off-Broadway Production: "Written in the Stars"

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Jan. 31, 2018 // PRNewswire // - Today, global premium burger chain Carl's Jr. opens its first-ever Manhattan restaurant at 425 7th Avenue, offering New Yorkers an expansive menu full of handmade American classics, bringing authentic, West Coast vibes to the Big Apple.

The two-story Manhattan restaurant is across from Madison Square Garden and will serve up Carl's Jr.'s unbeatable selection of quality, delicious menu items - everything from its iconic, 100-percent Black Angus Thickburgers® to Made from Scratch™ Biscuits and Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders™.

What's more, the restaurant will serve a selection of local and national beer and wine brands for its of-age customers.

"We are so excited to bring our West Coast Cool vibe to NYC," said Jason Marker, chief executive officer, Carl's Jr. and Hardees. "Manhattan is a city with a big personality. We feel our brand has a larger than life personality, too, and a high-quality, great-tasting menu to match."

Carl's Jr. encourages New York customers to join them this morning for the grand opening celebration. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m., and will have some surprises for the first 200 customers in line including tickets to the one and only public viewing of "Written in the Stars."

Celebrating our debut in Manhattan in the most New York way possible, Carl's Jr. is going where no other quick service restaurant has gone before - creating, producing and debuting the first off-Broadway show of its kind. The play stars Carl's Jr.'s famous mascot, Happy Star, playing the role of itself as it makes the move from California to New York to try and make it in the big city.

The Manhattan restaurant marks the second Carl's Jr. restaurant to open in New York City this year with the first opening in Coney Island earlier this month. Together, they signify a new day for the CKE Restaurants brand as Carl's Jr. expands into the Northeast.
