theCoderSchool Continues California Expansion

Silicon Valley-based children’s enterprise franchise comes to San Ramon

February 13, 2018 // Franchising.com // Palo Alto, CA - theCoderSchool - recently identified as one of Entrepreneur magazine’s “top five franchises to watch” - has announced the opening of a new school on February 25 in San Ramon, CA. TheCoderSchool of San Ramon will aim to show a new generation of kids how galvanizing and stimulating technology can be, while coaching coding skills that are highly in demand and applicable across all industries.

The new school, located at 161 Market Place in San Ramon, will be owned by Will Tungpagasit, who also owns theCoderSchool’s Pleasanton, CA and Irvine, CA locations.

Tungpagasit’s background as a software engineer, combined with his desire to create healthy life-long relationships between kids and technology, led him to theCoderSchool. Tungpagasit ultimately plans to open 10-13 additional theCoderSchool locations throughout California over the next three years.

“I am exciting to expand theCoderSchool’s footprint in California,” said Tungpagasit. “Learning how to program computers is an incredibly valuable skill, and one that is in demand right now in any industry. Through theCoderSchool’s project-based approach we strive to improve kids’ logic, ideation and creative thinking skills while preparing them for a successful future.”

theCoderSchool was built with the desire to provide children aged 7 to 18 years with a welcoming environment to develop computer programming skills. theCoderSchool uses a variety of platforms to teach various coding languages, such as HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript and more. Every Code Coaching lesson is customized with the help of trained Code Coaches® who use a 2-on-1 approach to teaching.

“Will has done an amazing job already with the existing schools in Pleasanton and Irvine,” added theCoderSchool founder, Hansel Lynn. “We’re confident he will achieve the same level of success in San Ramon and maintain theCoderSchool’s mission of providing a fun, engaging environment while establishing a strong relationship between kids, programming and tech.”

theCoderSchool is also a proud founding member of the International Alliance of Youth Coding Educators. The IAYCE is an alliance of global partners whose goal is to further coding education for youth around the world.
