U.S. Lawns Volunteers for A Gift for Teaching

(PRWEB) MARCH 06, 2018 - U.S. Lawns’ Home Office team volunteered time to help sort school supplies and clothing for students, who were displaced from their homes by the hurricane that wreaked havoc in Puerto Rico.

U.S. Lawns, a commercial grounds care company with a nationwide franchise network in over 250 locations, is proud of their Home Office Team for giving their time to help A Gift for Teaching. On Saturday afternoon, U.S. Lawns staff was able to sort, organize and box up school supplies and clothing that had been donated from various companies, organizations and local schools to help children in need.

A Gift For Teaching, Central Florida’s primary provider of free school supplies, serves 338 public schools. There are more than 210,000 kids whose families live at or below the poverty line. This particular day was focused on the students displaced to Florida by the hurricane.

"Our brand position is to Improve Your Community. Improve Your Life," said U.S. Lawns President Ken Hutcheson. "We are so honored to be able to help students who now live in our community because a natural disaster devastated their homes in Puerto Rico. Our hearts go out to them.” U.S. Lawns is committed to doing our part to give back to communities nationwide and we feel privileged to support A Gift for Teaching.
