Pet Wants Cincy West Expands with New Storefront

The previously mobile-only Pet Wants business just opened a shop at the corner of Bridgetown Road and Shady Lane.

CINCINNATI (PRWEB) May 01, 2018 - After just more than a year in operation as a mobile business, Laurie and Joe Sanfillipo III have opened a Pet Wants Cincy West storefront at 3797 Shady Lane in North Bend.

“Business has been very strong over the last year and, when we go to farmers’ markets and see people out in the community, they always ask where our shop is located. But we didn’t have a physical location. We’d been talking about maybe opening a storefront and, when the space at the corner of Bridgetown Road and Shady Lane became available, we knew it was time,” Laurie said. “It’s exactly the location we wanted and we are thrilled to be here.”

The new store is open:

  • Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Pet Wants’ specially-crafted pet food formulas are made in small batches with fresh, natural ingredients enhanced with vitamins and minerals for a complete and balanced diet in every bowl. Pet Wants Cincy West offers multiple blends of dog and cat food formulas as well as healing salve, calming balm, anti-itch spray, paw wax and more. Although they now have a storefront, Pet Wants Cincy West will still offer free mobile delivery to pet families in Delhi, Green Township, Western Hills, Bridgetown, Saylor Park, Miami Township, Harrison, Cleves, Colerain and Cheviot as well as the surrounding areas. Online orders can be placed 24/7 at http://www.petwantscincywest.com.

Pet Wants only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice and other ingredients available. There’s no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products and Pet Wants never uses corn, wheat, soy or dyes, which makes the food great for animals with allergies.

“We have healthy, nutritious pet food, chews and treats as well as high-quality toys and other products. Every product we carry has been handpicked to provide the best to our customers,” Laurie said. “We aren’t your run-of-the-mill pet store. We are a high-quality pet market, we love being on the west side and we’d love for you to stop in and see us.”

The Sanfillipos are long-time business owners and the family owns USA Collison Centers, which has serviced the West Side of Cincinnati and been a strong supporter of the surrounding communities for more than 40 years. Laurie and Joe are active supporters of two non-profits that hold a special place in their hearts, SPCA Cincinnati and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Joe III is a board member for the SPCA Cincinnati and also serves as a board member as well as an Executive Committee member for the Tri-State Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Laurie and Joe decided to open Pet Wants Cincy West back in the fall of 2016 after their dog, Meadow, finally found relief from her allergies when she started eating Pet Wants food. When Joe’s parents saw similar results with their Irish Wheaton Terrier, Abby, the Sanfillipos decided they wanted to franchise with Pet Wants.

Pet Wants was originally launched in Over-the-Rhine in 2010 by Michele Hobbs to fill a void in pet nutrition that had personally frustrated her as a pet owner. The business model was so successful that Hobbs teamed up with Franchise Funding Group to launch Pet Wants as a franchise in 2015. The Pet Wants Franchise has now become their latest in a long line of success stories, with 101 Pet Wants franchises awarded and growing.
