Current Meditation® Announces New Ownership of Franchise Business

With this acquisition, Current Meditation’s new owners, Neerav and Ronak Shah, plan to aggressively expand into new markets. Franchising and Regional Development opportunities for the meditation franchise will be available beginning in 2019.

PHOENIX (PRWEB) June 28, 2018 - Current Meditation, a meditation franchise in Phoenix, Ariz., has been acquired by new ownership. Current Meditation’s new owners, Neerav and Ronak Shah, plan to aggressively expand into new markets. The brand was founded to bring meditation to the masses in a unique format that is easy to practice and most effective.

Current Meditation was originally created as a passion project by the Weisman and Brovitz families, built with their experience as multi-state developers and franchisees of major brands such as Massage Envy, European Wax Center, and Amazing Lash Studio. The meditation concept fills a need in the health and wellness space, as nearly ten percent of Americans say they have tried some form of meditation. Business executives, athletes, schools, the military, and celebrities alike have embraced meditation in recent years. Studies show improvement in focus, memory, sleep, digestion, relationships and self-esteem, as well as a reduction in stress, anxiety, and blood pressure.

“After three years of developing the concept, it was time to find a leader for the brand who could dedicate the time, detail, and attention necessary to take Current Meditation to the next level. After talks with multiple interested parties, we knew that Neerav and Ronak Shah from Houston were the right partners for us. We are impressed with their experience in the franchising space, along with their passion to grow and bring meditation to the masses,” said Ross Weisman, Co-Founder. “Current Meditation has a vision to inspire millions to cultivate a healthy state of mind. We have built a multi-sensory experience no app can offer and a unique model that can truly scale. We look forward to seeing the Shahs take this brand to the next level of growth.”

The Shahs have an extensive understanding of multi-unit franchising with years of business development experience in the health, beauty and restaurant spaces. They have acquired the entire Current Meditation brand, system and original meditation studio in Phoenix and are already in the process of finding a retail site for a new studio in Houston. The Shahs also plan to open studios in major markets across the country, including New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington, D.C. and more. Franchising and Regional Development opportunities for the meditation franchise will be available beginning in 2019.

“For years, there has been a need for a meditation format that anyone from any background can learn and benefit from. While other concepts claim to be disruptive, Current Meditation is truly the first of its kind, and is here to alter the way Americans prioritize mental fitness. Current Meditation moves away from the ritualistic and hippie-centered associations commonly found with meditation, and instead offers a modern, non-religious approach focused on extracting maximum benefit for our guests,” said Neerav Shah.

Weisman and former COO Matt Robinson will be serving as official Board Advisors to the Shahs and are committed to the success of Current Meditation. Weisman and Robinson are also partners at Upfront, a modern people management system for frontline employees.

“Current Meditation is going to change millions of lives,” said Ronak Shah. "It is the culmination of years of research and expert engagement to create the most effective meditation possible -- one concentrated on the science behind meditation and showing people that a more focused mind and happier life are actually attainable. Current Meditation is poised to take the nation by storm, and we couldn't be more excited about it.”
