Educational Child Care Center Now Open in Collin County

July 12, 2018 // Franchising.com // MCKINNEY, Texas. - Paving a path to academic success for young students, Childrens Lighthouse Learning CentersSM recently opened its newest location in McKinney. The learning center officially opened its doors on June 6, 2018 and offers high-quality early childhood education and child care that helps stimulate intellectual development in a safe, warm and welcoming environment designed to bring out the best in children.

The school, located at 7900 Stacy Rd., is owned and operated by Emily Fernando, who oversees the management of the facility, along with a center director and full staff of teachers and administrators.

Fernando is an award-winning operator who’s been with Children’s Lighthouse for 10 years and plans to continue expanding throughout Texas. In addition to launching her McKinney center, Fernando plans to open another location in Fate in 2019. Fernando looks forward to the continued opportunity to positively impact families in the communities her centers serve.

The new Childrens Lighthouse Learning CenterSM spans approximately 12,000 square feet and features an upgraded turf-surfaced playground with a musical area filled with windpipes. Inside, there is ample space for children to learn in classroom and group settings, while an on-site kitchen offers freshly prepared, healthy meals daily for students. Children’s Lighthouse serves families with children just a few weeks old to 12 years old. In addition to child care during traditional school hours, highly interactive after-school programs and summer camps are available for children up to age 12.

Childrens Lighthouse Learning CentersSM are safe and secure environments that give parents peace of mind with online links to rooms, computerized building entry, security monitoring and transportation to and from area elementary schools.

With experienced educational childcare professionals guiding the company’s operations, Children’s Lighthouse has embedded its proprietary Lighthouse C.A.R.E.S.SM curriculum into its programming at all existing and upcoming schools. The integrated learning strategies of Lighthouse C.A.R.E.S.SM focus on students’ intellectual development, social and emotional growth, active learning through hands-on lessons and embedded content that emphasizes the fundamental basics of phonics, reading, math, science and social studies.

“In my opinion, Children’s Lighthouse will serve a very special need in McKinney. We will be providing parents a place where they can feel confident that their children are safe and secure, while developing priceless and lasting learning habits,” Fernando added. “Our Lighthouse will offer individualized care in a loving and nurturing environment, providing parents with the utmost sense of security that their child is being cared for.”

Children’s Lighthouse is on a rapid ascent to the top of the educational child care industry, and franchise investors are taking notice. Along with the forthcoming school in McKinney, 25 new Childrens Lighthouse Learning CentersSM are in development or under construction, preparing to join the 47 that are already operating.

“Emily has been a valued part of the team for years,” said Michael Brown, president of Childrens Lighthouse Learning CentersSM. “She shares our passion for community, nurturing care and education.
