Local Franchisee Brings Café Yumm! Restaurant to Eagle

The popular Northwest fast casual brand signs first location lease in the Boise metro area.

July 17, 2018 // Franchising.com // Eugene, OR – Café Yumm! will soon bring their famous Yumm! Bowls® (plus, signature soups, salads, and wraps) to Idaho. Franchisees of the Oregon-based restaurant recently signed a lease agreement for a shopping center location in the Lakemoor area of Eagle. This is part of a three-unit development agreement.

Rico Lea, director of franchise sales, said of the agreement, “I am delighted that this franchisee is putting us on the local map, and I think the greater Boise area has room for many more Café Yumm! restaurants and operators.”

This restaurant marks Café Yumm!’s highly anticipated entry into a new state and market, and Boise is one of America’s fastest-growing metropolitan regions.

Idaho-based franchisee Rebecca Blewett is passionate about introducing Café Yumm!’s unique dining options to the region. “Eagle is a wonderful town, and Lakemoor is a dynamic neighborhood with bike paths, walkways, and beautiful plant restoration areas. Our neighbors in The Bridges at Lakemoor shopping center will be a yoga studio and fitness club, making our nourishing food a perfect fit for anyone wanting fresh meals made fast,“ states Blewett.

The first Café Yumm! to open in the Boise area will be designed and built with a focus on sustainable materials and restaurant operations. More than half of all Café Yumm! restaurants have been built to LEED Silver standards or better for sustainability. The restaurant will offer drive-thru service, outdoor seating with a fire pit, and relaxed indoor dining that features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a scenic pond and waterfalls.

Rebecca states, “Café Yumm! offers a totally different experience. The dining rooms are always warm and welcoming with inviting colors, live plants, and down-to-earth décor that allows you to just relax and enjoy your meal. We love that Lakemoor’s water features make our restaurant feel like an oasis.”

Café Yumm! was founded in Oregon in 1997. There were two Eugene restaurants when the company began franchising its health and sustainability-focused brand in 2007. Thanks in large part to the popularity of the restaurant’s fan-favorite Yumm! Bowls, a score of Café Yumm! locations have opened in Oregon and Washington in recent years. Additionally, 160 grocery stores in California, Oregon, and Washington now carry the restaurant’s unique, proprietary Yumm! Sauce® (found in refrigerated aisles for shoppers who seek nourishing and sustainably produced choices). Yumm! Sauce is also sold in the restaurants and throughout America by mail order.

Mark Beauchamp, president and co-founder of Café Yumm! states, “From the time we opened our first restaurant, we hoped to someday bring Café Yumm! to other cities in Oregon, then to Washington, and eventually to the rest of America. It was part of our desire to nourish humanity and the world - something we can achieve by introducing new guests and communities to sustainable, healthy options that are delicious and unexpected.”

The new Café Yumm! in Eagle is expected to open within the next six months, and Café Yumm! is preparing to develop more franchise restaurants in the Treasure Valley and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Franchise opportunities still exist throughout the Boise metro and in select states. Individuals interested in pursuing a Café Yumm! franchise are encouraged to visit CafeYummFranchise.com for more information.
