New hotel brings chic guest rooms, alluring rooftop and Argentine-inspired dining to downtown Seattle

August 24, 2018 // Franchising.com // SEATTLE - Enjoy breathtaking views of the Puget Sound while sipping craft cocktails in the open air, feast on cooked-to-perfection fresh local fish grilled upon a white-hot fire open grill, relax in a chic, welcoming guest room, then step outside to experience Seattle’s best sights and sounds. It is all possible today with the opening of The Charter Hotel Seattle, Curio Collection by Hilton, welcoming travelers and locals alike to downtown Seattle with its vibrant décor and amenities, Argentine-inspired Patag?n restaurant and Fog Room rooftop bar and lounge. The Charter Hotel Seattle is a Rockbridge and Widewaters Group property, and is operated by Widewaters Hotels. The hotel was handpicked to join the global collection of one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts in the Curio Collection portfolio – all celebrated for their individuality and unique character.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Charter Hotel Seattle to our collection, as it truly embodies the independent spirit and distinct character of Seattle,” said Mark Nogal, global head, Curio Collection by Hilton. “Whether it’s taking in the view from the Fog Room rooftop bar and lounge or tasting the menu at Argentine-inspired Patag?n restaurant, we want guests to experience something customized to their way of travel when staying at our hotels, and The Charter Hotel Seattle offers guests that and more.”

To help guests orient their adventures as they seek local experiences and tailored activities that fuel their curiosity, the hotel features downtown maps with curated itineraries assembled by a collection of Seattle’s most in-the-know tastemakers, including publisher and man-about-town JJ McKay; real estate and restaurant maven Linda Derschang; indie fashion and design-world favorite Moorea Seal; creative director and wine proprietress Suzi Un; and radio host and previous contestant on The Bachelor Molly Mesnick. Whether sipping cabernet while watching a cabaret, imbibing speakeasy gin or venturing underneath the city itself, the suggested spots unveil the curious, the counterculture and the true local community The Charter Hotel Seattle helps guests explore.

“The Charter Hotel Seattle is the new epicenter for Seattle adventures and discovery, with the waterfront, major attractions and local favorites only a few blocks away,” said Sebastien Pfeiffer, general manager, The Charter Hotel Seattle, Curio Collection by Hilton. “We selected our name – The Charter Hotel Seattle – as a nod to the Northwest’s exploratory spirit and city’s progressive growth forward, which are both captured throughout our hotel.”

The hotel itself rises 16 floors, boasting a glass-adorned modern exterior and chic, well-appointed interiors with natural Northwest touches, and views of Elliott Bay throughout. The 229 guest rooms – including 13 spacious one-bedroom suites – offer modern décor and bedding, and all the perks meant to pamper, including plush bathrobes, 50-inch HD TVs and stunning marble bathrooms. Guests can also enjoy the gym and wellness center, complete with sauna, steam room and cold rain shower, and groups have access to more than 6,000 sq. ft. of private meetings and events space.

On the roof, Fog Room serves as a sultry indoor-outdoor rooftop bar and lounge, perfect to begin or end the night. Perched atop the city, the 120-seat bar and lounge affords unrivaled water and mountain views, overlooking the Seattle Great Wheel, waterway traffic and downtown buzz. Guests can enjoy locally inspired small bites and craft cocktails in the intimate, yet spacious, setting, while taking in live music and other entertainment.

On the ground floor, Patag?n restaurant is poised to artfully fuse Argentine culinary flair with Pacific Northwest flavors – all to a backdrop of earthy woods, twisted metals and rugged, yet refined, ambiance. Anchoring the space is a custom-built open grill, where skilled grilling artisans, known as asadores, use smoke from the embers to cook and flavor meals to perfection. A well-planned wine and libations list, featuring both South American and local selections, rounds out the dining experience and invites guests to linger.

The Charter Hotel Seattle is also part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 14 distinct hotel brands. Members who book directly have access to instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider that allows members to choose nearly any combination of Points and money to book a stay, an exclusive member discount, free standard Wi-Fi and the Hilton Honors mobile app.

The hotel marks the second Curio Collection hotel in the Northwest U.S., following on the heels of The Porter Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton, which opened in April.
