Coverall Awards Thousands of Dollars in College Scholarships in 2018
Coverall hands out 46 scholarships to the children of its independent franchised business owners
August 28, 2018 // Franchising.com // DEERFIELD BEACH - Coverall North America, Inc., one of the leading franchisors in the commercial cleaning industry, today announced it has awarded a total of $700,000 in college scholarships over the past twelve years. Starting in 2005, Coverall created The Coverall Foundation Scholarship Program, providing scholarships to the children of its independent franchised business owners. This year, Coverall presented its largest number of scholarships in a single year, 46, totaling $78,000.
“The Coverall System is dedicated to helping hard-working students achieve their academic and professional dreams,” said Shirley Klein, Coverall’s Chief Operating Officer.
Coverall is committed to supporting its network of more than 8,000 Independent Business Owners by providing comprehensive training, support and business tools. And, Coverall is dedicated to helping them, and their families, thrive in their local communities.
“With the rising cost of college, tuition can be a large burden for families,” added Klein. “Our Coverall Foundation scholarship program is something we can do for the children of our franchised business owners who are committed to creating jobs in their local communities while running the businesses that support their families.”
More than 150 young men and women from across the country have received scholarships to date. High school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores and juniors who are dependents of Coverall® Franchised Business Owners, who have been in the Coverall System for at least one-year are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a B, or 3.0, GPA and by applying as a full-time student to an accredited, non-profit college, university or vocational/technical school in the United States.
