Multi-Unit Franchisee in South Texas Honored as Gold’s Gym Franchisee of the Year
Award-winning multi-unit franchisee family in South Texas adds to long list of accolades and announces goal to open six more gyms in the near future.
August 28, 2018 // Franchising.com // DALLAS - Gold’s Gym honored its South Texas franchisee with two prestigious awards this year at the company’s annual convention held in Las Vegas, Nev., on August 1, 2018. The South Texas multi-unit franchisee family consisting of siblings Eliud Garcia, Esteban Garcia, Cynthia Garcia-Pope, and Teresa Garcia was named the Franchisee of the Year for 2018 and also honored with Best Improved Gym in 2018 at their Laredo Del Mar location.

The Garcia family owns seven gyms in the South Texas region, including Laredo Del Mar, Laredo North Central, McAllen, Mission, Harlingen, Pharr, and Edinburg locations.
This is not the first time the Garcia family and their gyms have been recognized for outstanding franchise performance. They previously earned Gold’s Gym’s Franchise of the Year Award in 2013, and additional honors include Best Group Exercise Program in 2012, Best Community Service Program in 2013, Best Personal Training Program and Best Member Engagement in 2014, and more.

The Garcia family hopes to continue expansion of their family-owned franchise with a goal to having 13 locations in the near feature. This includes opening three locations in South Texas as well as securing a new territory in West Texas where they plan on opening another three locations.
