New business looks to help local families get a jump on spring cleaning year-round.

Opened on July 9th, the new Oxi Fresh business is owned and operated by Jack Huffman and his wife Kim. The duo will operate two territories in Snohomish County, with the second slated to open in October.

Prior to Oxi Fresh, Huffman served four years as a Power Generation Repair Specialist and a Combat Life Saver. Huffman deployed to the Middle East twice. The second deployment to Saudi Arabia came after the Khobar Towers Bombing of 1996, where Huffman and his unit were some of the first to experience modern terrorism as it is known today.

After retiring from the military as an E4 Specialist in 1997, Huffman worked with HVAC companies for over 20 years. Desiring a change for himself and his family, Huffman pursued entrepreneurism and found Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning. The entrepreneurial journey suits him well as he knows perseverance and the power of positivity.

“From my experience in the gulf war to suffering from PTSD, to breaking my neck and being diagnosed with MS, I want to show everyone, veteran and civilian, that they can do anything they set their mind to,” added Huffman. “I wake up every day with a smile on my face and I just hope to inspire and improve other’s lives – that’s my goal in opening Oxi Fresh.”
