Bubbakoo’s Burritos Opens 20th Store with New Location in Toms River

September 11, 2018 // Franchising.com // Point Pleasant, N.J. - Bubbakoo’s Burritos, a Jersey Shore-based eatery that touts Mexican food fused with American funkiness, has added a third store in Toms River. The new restaurant is located at 886 Fischer Blvd and opened on September 8.

The new Bubbakoo’s location is owned and operated by Zack Malecki and his partners Joe and John from JZJ Dining, LLC. The team also owns Bubbakoo's of Wall. Malecki has served the brand loyally for over eight years, serving as a corporate operator and was involved in the development of 13 locations before transitioning into ownership.

“When the opportunity to be able to franchise Bubbakoo's was made possible it was the perfect fit given my tenure with the company,” said Malecki. ”My partners and I are humbled with our success in the Wall location and are extremely excited to be bringing premium quality food and the unique atmosphere to our second location in Toms River.”

Bubbakoo’s Burritos offers the usual fast-casual burrito fare such as burritos, bowls, tacos, salad, nachos and quesadillas, but with 16 different protein options - including fried chicken, barbecue pork, Buffalo shrimp and grilled steak, as well as some more unusual flavors such as ghost pepper chicken and sriracha pork. Vegetarian options include a bean-cheese-guacamole combo. And, originals such as The Chiwawa, a cheese-smothered, panko-crusted fried rice ball, keep Bubbakoo’s faithful coming back.

Beyond the menu, Bubbakoo’s offers an environment like no other, with décor reflecting the eatery’s Shore roots, inviting guests to enjoy a host of regional beachside designs, and unmatched service standards that truly make the restaurants feel like home.

“Zack has done an amazing job already with the existing restaurant in Wall,” added Paul Altero, CEO of Bubbakoo’s Burritos. “We’re confident he will achieve the same level of success in Toms River and maintain Bubbakoo’s mission of outstanding service and attention to detail.”

According to Altero, Bubbakoo’s has seven locations in various stages of development; with plans have as many as 26 restaurants open by the end of 2018. The chain is looking for experienced and qualified franchisees to continue expanding the brand’s presence in New Jersey and the Tri-State area.
