Chicken Salad Chick Celebrates Opening Of First Oklahoma Restaurant

Fast casual concept to open in Broken Arrow and offers free chicken salad for a year.

AUBURN, Ala. - Sept. 12, 2018 // PRNewswire // - Chicken Salad Chick, the nation's only southern inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced today the launch of its first restaurant in Oklahoma. Located in the Tulsa area at 1320 East Hillside Drive in Broken Arrow, the new restaurant will open on September 20th and marks the brand's 95th restaurant location across 10 states. The Broken Arrow restaurant kicks off a string of new market development for Chicken Salad Chick with restaurants set to debut in Arkansas, Kentucky and Missouri before the end of the year.

During grand opening week, guests will experience the southern hospitality that Chicken Salad Chick is known for, with giveaways and specials that include:

• Thursday, September 20 - Free Chicken Salad for a year - The first guest will receive one large Quick Chick of chicken salad per week for an entire year; the next 99 guests will receive a free large Quick Chick of chicken salad per month.* Any guest not part of the first 100 in line can make a purchase and enter to win free chicken salad for a year. **
• Friday, September 21 - The first 100 guests to purchase a Chick Trio will receive a free 32oz. Chick tumbler.
• Saturday, September 22 - The first 50 guests to purchase two large Quick Chicks will receive a free large Chick cooler.
• Monday, September 24 - The first 50 guests at opening and the first 50 guests at 5p.m. to purchase a Chick Special will be automatically enrolled in the Free Chicken Salad of the Month Club. Each guest will receive one free small Quick Chick per month for 12 months. ***
• Tuesday, September 25 - Trio Tuesday - Any guest to purchase a Chick Special will receive a free upgrade to a Chick Trio.

The Broken Arrow restaurant is owned and operated by first-time Chicken Salad Chick franchisee Molly Robinson. Previously a multi-unit operator of McDonalds, Robinson is an industry veteran with more than 18 years of experience in restaurant management. Realizing it was time to make a change, Robinson started looking for concepts that were centered around family and culture. After learning about Chicken Salad Chick's core values and devoted support team, she decided to open her first location in her hometown of Broken Arrow. Over the next couple years, Robinson plans to open additional locations in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas.

The Chicken Salad Chick concept, born in Auburn, was established in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown. When Stacy discovered that the local county health department would not allow her to continue making and selling her delicious recipes out of her home kitchen, she overcame that obstacle by launching her first restaurant with the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant, which quickly grew; the company now has 95 restaurants across the Southeast.
