Ricky’s Group of Family-Style Restaurants Running Back to School Promotion as a Way to Give Back

$1.00 from every item sold from the Ricky’s Wafflemania menu goes to Breakfast Club of Canada

September 17, 2018 // Franchising.com // BURNABY, B.C. - The Ricky’s Group of Family-style Restaurants, a Canadian company, is celebrating kids and back to school with a Wafflemania menu launching in September in time for back to school.

Five delicious waffle breakfasts will be featured from September 17 to November 11, with $1.00 from every item sold from the Wafflemania menu donated to Breakfast Club of Canada, an organization helping to feed 203,000 students in over 1,600 schools every morning.

The promotion will run in all Ricky’s All Day Grill restaurants, Ricky’s Country restaurants and Ricky’s Cafes across the country. The waffle breakfast items will be served every day of the promotion until 4:00 p.m. and range from eggs benny waffles to traditional chicken & waffles to a decadent caramel apple waffle.

“We agree with Breakfast Club of Canada that a good day starts with a good breakfast,” said Stacey Hansson, senior vice-president of Ricky’s Group of Family-style Restaurants. “That’s why we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate kids going back to school than by donating $1.00 per item sold from the Wafflemania menu to the Breakfast Club of Canada.” The restaurant chain has a long-standing relationship with the organization.

The addition of Lac La Biche Inn increases the number of Ricky’s hotel locations to 20.
