The Gyro Shack Debuts East Vancouver Location

Boise’s Premier Greek Restaurant Puts Twist on Vancouver’s Quick-Service Mediterranean Scene

October 09, 2018 // Franchising.com // CAMAS, Wash. – The Gyro Shack announced today that its second Vancouver area location opens on Oct. 11. Located at 315 NE 192nd Ave. Suite 306 in Camas, The Gyro Shack is situated within Union Station and features an indoor seating area.

“With the incredible popularity of our Vancouver location on the West Side, expanding to the East Side was the natural next step,” said Vince Carich, owner of both of The Gyro Shack locations in the Vancouver area. “Camas is a fast-growing area and we wanted to be a part of it, and this opening is a chance for even more people in the area to fall in love with our authentic, unique menu for the first time.”

The new location is owned and operated by Vince Carich and Tim Martens, a local entrepreneurial team. Carich brings an extensive background in franchising to the partnership, and Martens has more than 20 years experience in the food service industry, including owning several successful wine bars.

A grand opening event is also planned for the coming weeks, with more details to follow. The Gyro Shack’s Camas location will be open daily Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“There is incredible buzz in Vancouver around the opening of a second location and we know that’s a testament to the loyalty of our fans in Washington,” said Seth Brink, vice president of operations and development at The Gyro Shack. “Vancouver residents are just as excited as we are that our newest location will be serving more people in the area. Gyro offerings at the Camas location range from the traditional to the extraordinary, such as the BLT and the Spicy Bacon Avocado. Vegetarian lovers of Mediterranean fare will also find plenty to tempt their palates, including a veggie gyro, Greek salad, and hummus and pita. The tzatziki and spicy green sauces are a delicious way to top off any order to perfection.

On the heels of The Gyro Shack opening in Camas, the brand is driving its Pacific Northwest expansion with new franchise locations planned for Washington later this year.
